This recipe has been my go-to Salmon recipe for the last 6 months. I created it because I really wanted to make a Miso-Glazed salmon but when I went to my local grocery store it was $20 for a small tub of Miso ): I was like hell to the naw, I am not paying $20 for Miso like get out of here. So I went home and created my own sauce and it has been my favorite recipe ever since. When I finallllly have access to affordable Miso I will definitely make that but until then this recipe knocks my socks off.
If you love salmon, garlic and the delicious contrast of tangy and sweet then you will LOVE this recipe.
- Ingredients:
- 1 lb Salmon with skin
- 6 medium garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small Lime, juiced
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp chili paste (I used Sambal Oelek)
- 1 TBSP brown sugar
- 1 1/2 TBSP soy sauce
- 1 TBSP Avocado oil (or any other neutral flavored oil)
- 1 tsp cilantro, chopped + a little more for sprinkling
Recipe:
In a small bowl mix garlic, lime juice, rice vinegar, chili paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, avocado oil, and cilantro. Once combined, spoon a small amount (enough to cover the bottom part of the salmon) into the pan. Place salmon, skin down, in the pan. Spoon the rest of the sauce over the salmon, making sure to coat well. Place in fridge to marinate
Preheat oven to 350f (170c). Once oven is preheated place salmon in oven for 20 min. Ta-Da, salmon should be cooked to perfection and be delicious!
Before serving spoon a little of the sauce from the pan onto the salmon and sprinkle some cilantro. I like to serve it with rice and asparagus (;
